Seriously, is vertigo contagious? Like lice? Isn’t it a problem with the inner ear? If you get dizzy looking off of a cliff, isn’t that just a new spatial experience?

I’m pretty sure people pay to ride on rollercoasters for the vertigo. I don’t get it though - I’ve been in the art museum 4 times and never noticed anything. Do I get my money back?
You can definitely psyche yourself into getting vertigo. If you expect to feel queasy on a rollercoaster or whatever, you probably will.
That said, I do get vertigo in the museum. I can’t stand too close to the railing in the new atrium without getting a little nervous. But I don’t think it’s related to the sloping walls in the building. It’s a height thing for me.
